The Swedish Metals & Minerals Program Conference 2026 is the program’s main meeting place for stakeholders who want to contribute to a sustainable and resilient metals and minerals supply for the societal transition.

Over two half days, we bring together industry, research, institutes, public sector actors and the wider innovation ecosystem to connect needs, projects and perspectives and to explore how the mission can be turned into practice.

The conference is designed for those who want to explore concrete needs, ongoing research initiatives and new opportunities for collaboration across the Swedish metals and minerals value chain. It connects industry, society, research and innovation in practice.

Day 1 focuses on the bigger picture: the needs, challenges and system conditions shaping the metals and minerals value chain. The afternoon will combine program perspectives, industry priorities, strategic development areas and examples of tools and opportunities that can help turn mission-oriented work into practice.

Day 2 – Wednesday 7 October

Day 2 focuses on the Swedish Metals & Minerals project portfolio. Through short project pitches and an interactive walk-around format, participants will meet and be inspired by ongoing projects, discover relevant actors and explore opportunities for future collaboration.

Registration fee

The registration fee applies to the full conference, regardless of which parts you attend.

The fee includes the conference program, lunch and dinner on 6 October, and coffee and lunch on 7 October.

All prices are excluding VAT.

Accommodation

Accommodation is not included in the registration fee.

A limited number of rooms have been pre-reserved at Elite Hotel Marina Tower for the night of 6–7 October. Rooms are allocated subject to availability.

By selecting “Yes, please”, you confirm that you would like to reserve one of the available pre-reserved rooms. Once you have selected “Yes” and completed your registration, your hotel room is confirmed.

If all pre-reserved rooms have already been allocated, the option to reserve a room will no longer be available and participants will need to arrange their own accommodation.

Room rate: SEK 2,009 excluding VAT / SEK 2,250 including VAT. Breakfast is included. Payment is made directly to the hotel upon arrival or check-out.

Cancellation is possible through Swedish Metals & Minerals until 26 August. After this date, the full room cost will be charged.

If all pre-reserved rooms are allocated

If all pre-reserved rooms have been allocated, participants are responsible for arranging their own accommodation.

For presenting projects

Each presenting project must prepare a project display in the form of up to two A3 posters and/or one roll-up.

A short project description for the participant material must be submitted no later than 6 September. More detailed instructions will be sent separately to presenting projects.

Cancellation policy

Conference tickets can be cancelled with a full refund until 20 September. After this date, tickets are non-refundable, but name changes are accepted.

Hotel room cancellations must be made through Swedish Metals & Minerals no later than 26 August. After this date, the full room cost will be charged.

Public transport to Elite Hotel Marina Tower

Ferry from Nybroplan to Saltsjöqvarn

The SL commuter ferry from Nybroplan to Saltsjöqvarn takes approximately 15 minutes. The same ticket and fare apply as for buses and the metro. The quay is located approximately 25 metres from Elite Hotel Marina Tower.

Ferry 80 towards Ropsten via Nacka Strand
Departs every 30 minutes, for example at 10:30, 11:00 and so on.

Bus from Slussen to Saltsjöqvarn

The bus journey takes approximately 12 minutes, followed by a walk of about 400 metres.

Bus 55 towards Henriksdalsberget
Departs every 30 minutes, for example at 11:13, 11:43 and so on.

Bus from Slussen to Henriksdal

The bus journey takes approximately 5 minutes, followed by a walk of about 800 metres.

Bus 445 towards Östra Orminge
Departs every 30 minutes, for example at 10:58, 11:28 and so on.

Bus 471 towards Skurustugan
Departs every 15 minutes, for example at 11:16, 11:23 and so on.

Bus 444 towards Västra Orminge
Departs every 30 minutes, for example at 11:21, 11:51 and so on.

Bus 401 towards Älta
Departs every 30 minutes, for example at 11:25, 11:55 and so on.

Bus 409 towards Duvnäs utskog
